ACHAL SAHIB, GURDWARA. sacred to Guru Nanak, is located on the boundary of Salho and Chahal villages along the Jalandhar Batala road, 6 km south of Batala (31M9'N, 75°12'E) in Gurdaspur district of the Punjab. The low mound on which the Gurdwara is situated, in close proximity of the ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Kartikeya, son of Lord Shiva, is popularly known as Achal Vatala. The Achal temple had since old times been a place of pilgrimage visited by sadhus from distant parts, especially during the annual fair held on the occasion of Sivaratri festival.

The Gurdwara Aaduporh is a historical shrine commemorating the visit of Guru Hargobind Ji. Guru Ji came to the site while riding his horse, where now the present Gurdwara Sahib stands. At this place Guru Ji met a holyman whose name was Aadu and asked him about the well being of the villagers. Aadu apprised GuruJi that the village faces acute water problem hence the village development was suffering .On hearing the problem, it so happened that Guru Ji’s horse struck on the ground with Porh (Horses hoof) and then water started pouring out of the earth.

This Gurdwara is situated at the place where Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji stayed for some time. It is believed that when Guruji left this place the standing sugarcane crop in the village caught fire. An elderly man told the villagers that Guruji had come to the village but was not given suitable welcome by them. The villagers rushed to Guruji and met him in Dhangira village and asked for forgiveness.

AKAL BUNGA SAHIB GURUDWARA, ANANDPUR This Gurdwara is situated exact opposite to Gurdwara Sis Ganj. Here, Guru Sahib addressed the Sikhs after the cremation of the head of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. Guru Sahib asked the Sikhs to bow before the Will of the Almighty. He told them to be prepared for struggle for freedom of faith and war against tyranny and injustice.

ARISAR SAHIB GURUDWARA :Gurdwara Arisar Sahib Patshahi Nauvin Village Dhaula Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji came to village of Handiyaya in the year 1665 A.D. As per the local people, it is said that while passing through Handiyaya his horse stopped all of a sudden just outside the boundary of village Dhaula. Even Guru Ji tried his best but the horse did not budge. Every body got surprised. The villagers then asked Guru Ji why was the horse not moving? Guru Ji smiled and said that the horse has stopped because he has smelt tobacco, which was grown over there.
