BARANA (VARUNA)

BARANA (VARUNA) There are many Baranas….. (Sarag M. 5, p. 1236) He is the god of ocean and sovereign of waters. He carries a noose called Naga-Pasa for binding offÃ©nders. His favourite resort is Pushpa-girl (flower-mountain) and his city is Vasudha-nagara. He is one of the oldest of the Vedic deities.
