BHOLU, BHAI, a Tivari Brahman, is mentioned in Bhai Gurdas, Varan , XI. 19, as a devoted Sikh of the time of Guru Arjan. The Guru, as says Bhai Mani Singh, Sikhan di Bhagat Mala, once explained to him that Guru Nanak`s Guru was God himself, though he did bow before Guru Angad whom he had chosen for succession as Guru after him. DIRHBA, an old town 30 km southeast of Sangrur (30° 14`N, 75°50`E) in the Punjab, has a historical shrine commemorating the visit of Guru Tegh Bahadur during the third quarter of the seventeenth century.
